In May 2023, Prince Harry's sustainable tourism project Travalyst entered a new phase with the announcement of a new board of directors, but there was no mention of Prince Harry himself in the official press release. Travalyst is an independent non-profit organization based in London that was launched by Prince Harry in 2019, along with his wife Meghan Markle when they were still working royals.

The decision to lower Prince Harry's prominence in Travalyst's public representation could be a strategic move in response to the negative publicity he has faced in the media. PR experts speculate that this change could give the organization more breathing room and help it avoid being entangled in any controversies associated with Prince Harry.

Travalyst's goal is to encourage the tourism industry to become more sustainable, and Prince Harry had been the public face of the initiative for three years. However, due to various reasons, including controversies over his use of private jets, there appears to have been a shift in how he is presented in the organization's communication.

The company registration documents at Companies House in April 2020 showed Prince Harry listed as an 'individual person with significant control,' holding 75 percent or more of the shares and voting rights of Travalyst. Two company directors were listed at that time: James Holt, one of Prince Harry's senior aides, and Heather Wong, who worked as his assistant private secretary at Kensington Palace before he left the Royal Family. Sally Davey, the current chief executive of Travalyst, was appointed as a director one day later on Companies House.
