Russell Myers, a royal expert, discussed Prince Harry's statements about the Royal Family with Lorraine Kelly. Russell Myers further commented that Prince Harry's statements are akin to blackmail, in that he is threatening to reveal more information if he doesn't get what he wants. Myers also said that this is a difficult time for the monarchy as they are trying to move on from the recent passing of the Queen and that Harry's statements are adding to the damage and could not have come at a worse time.

Royal biographer, Tom Bower, has also criticized Prince Harry's statements, calling for the Royal Family to "hit back" against his claims. He stated that Harry and Meghan have proven themselves to be unreliable and untrustworthy and that the damage to the Royal Family from their statements is "colossal." Bower believes that it is necessary for the Royal Family to make a statement, as Harry and Meghan will continue to make these allegations for their own financial gain.

Bower suggested that the Royal Family should speak out against Harry's statements and allegations, as they are untrue. He also mentioned that in Harry's memoir, "Spare", Harry revealed information about the family that had never been made public before, such as suspicions Prince William had about Camilla Parker Bowles at the time of her relationship with Prince Charles. In the book, Harry wrote that he and William had urged Charles not to marry Camilla, but recognized that Charles loved her and they had no hard feelings towards him.
